  1. Hello, My name is Joyce Swan Hofer and I remember as a child visiting this farm. I knew a wonderful lady named Mrs. Watrous and she would deliver eggs to my family. My Dad Earl Swan worked there selling eggs after returning from WWII. I am wondering if you have any history of people who worked there through the 1930’s and 1940’s. My Uncle George Lawrence lived there for a period during the depression. I am trying to find relevant history regarding him. My brother Earl Swab was a long time resident of Guilford and pointed the farm out to me as the one I remembered as a child. I have had one of Georges relatives reach out to me after having a DNA test done. I now live in Florida and have wonderful memories of Guilford, Lake Quannapaug and had rented a cottage for a number of years in the 60’s. Any history or reference to George Lawrence, Earl J. Swan Jr. or Mrs. Watrous would be greatly appreciated. My brother Earl died several years ago and I am unable to question him. My cousin Arne Ahlberg had an Antique Shop in Guilford for many yearsa. Thank you.
