DESCRIPTION:Recharge your creativity and experience the joy of writing and drawing from the intuitive\, imagistic right-side of the brain. Amy J. Barry\, writer\, and expressive arts educator will lead this workshop for adults. She will employ imaginative prompts and exercises\, inspired by the beautiful natural surroundings at Dudley Farm; historical items in the 19th-century farmhouse; and art & artifacts in the Quinnipiac Dawnland Museum. \nWe will do this work together in a supportive group environment. Previous writing or drawing experience is not necessary. Required supplies for class: A small set of oil pastels\, writing notebook or journal. \nClasses will be held on four consecutive Wednesdays\, May 21 to June 11\, from 1 to 3 p.m.\, downstairs in the yellow Munger Barn at Dudley Farm. The four-week session is $100 with a portion of the fee to benefit the Dudley Farm Museum. Spaces are limited. Register by May 12 online or send a check payable to the Dudley Foundation. Why don’t you find out for yourself by creating a bouquet for your yourself\, your home or someone you love?  The Dudley Farm is partnering with Dr. Philomena Asante(Mena)\, a pediatrician and the owner of Mena’s Garden LLC in North Guilford (www.menasgarden.com) to have the first ever Flower Bouquet Making Station on Saturday August 24 at 10am.  After a 15-minute demonstration on how to make and take care of the perfect flower bouquet\, you can select from buckets of fresh\, field-grown\, in-season perennial and annual flowers (like dahlias\, zinnias\, cosmos\, yarrow\, phlox\, hydrangeas\, roses\, spirea) to make your own flower bouquet. The cost per 10-stem bouquet is $15\, while supplies last.
