Better Bend and Squat for Gardeners

Helpful hip and back anatomy and the use of props will be demonstrated along with easy ways to reduce risk to joints while gardening. Massage Therapist, Yoga Tune Up® Instructor, dancer, movement educator – Katy is locally known for her friendly approach to increasing body wisdom.

Joan is a certified nutritionist who works at JMM Wellness in Guilford and specialized in diabetes, weight management and bariatrics. She will be preparing healthy dishes using food grown by the Farmers’ Market vendors, and offering samples, nutritional advice, and recipes.

Gentle Flow Yoga

As a certified RYT Yoga instructor, Emily is determined to teach yoga that empowers, to help people achieve physical alignment, body positivity, a clear mind and happy heart. The class is open to all ages and experience, and she makes yoga accessible to every person. Please bring your own mat or towel.

Music & Mandalas

Ann is a professional cellist and Jungian life coach. She will give a brief introduction to the Mandala (“sacred circle”) used in traditional Asian meditation, and as a therapeutic tool to help people who want to sooth the soul and deepen self-awareness. Participants will be guided to draw their own mandalas, accompanied by live cello music. 

Taoist Tai Chi for Health and to Relieve Stress.
Greg Coleman and Edwina Trentham, Taoist Tai Chi Society of America, Guilford, CT.
Poets and instructors, Greg and Edwina will introduce the moves of Taoist Tai Chi, which is designed to promote health and well-being for people of all ages and in all health conditions. Continuing students will demonstrate the complete set of Tai Chi moves. No experience necessary.

Walking Labyrinth

When Greg designs labyrinths for people he seeks to express their intentions and energy. He has created a temporary walking labyrinth for the Dudley Farm and and invites all of you to begin your exploration of labyrinths and the patterns of energy that are around and within us all.
