Veterans Cemetery Tour

In honor of Veterans Day and America  250, join us in celebrating the many veterans buried in the North Guilford Cemetery. The North Guilford (“Old North”) Cemetery on the west side of Meeting House Hill dates back to the building of the first church in North Guilford in 1723. As the oldest cemetery in Guilford, it was intended to serve the members of the North Guilford Congregational Church and later St. John’s Episcopal Church (1747). The Meeting House Hill Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and includes this cemetery and the surrounding 19^th-century buildings. Many Dudleys served as deacons and influenced the direction the early church.
