Campers will build outdoor skills, learn about local plants and wildlife, and connect with the land through curiosity, teamwork, and play.

Session 2: July 6—10 – Dawnland Explorers

  • Indigenous Culture Week introduces campers to the history and traditions of the region’s First Peoples, with a focus on the Quinnipiac and their deep connection to the land. Through storytelling, hands-on activities, and nature-based learning, campers will explore how Indigenous communities lived, learned, and cared for the environment long before the farm existed.

Session 3: July 12—17 – Farm Life & History Discovery

  • Farm Life & History Week immerses campers in the sights, sounds, and daily work of a 19th-century New England farm at Dudley Farm. Through hands-on chores, historic games, and exploration of the farmhouse and barns, campers will discover how families lived, worked, and thrived in Connecticut’s past.

Session 4: July 20—24 – Creative Arts on the Farm

  • Creative Arts Week invites campers to express themselves through art inspired by the landscapes, animals, and history of Dudley Farm. Using natural and traditional materials, campers will draw, craft, and create while exploring how creativity has always been part of farm life.

Session 5: July 27—31 – Farmers Market & Entrepreneurship Week

  • Farmers Market & Entrepreneurship Week gives campers a behind-the-scenes look at how food is grown, priced, and sold, from field to market. Through hands-on activities like harvesting and creating products campers will build teamwork, creativity, and confidence as young entrepreneurs. Campers are welcome to join the Dudley Farm market on Saturday to sell their goods.
