Procedures for Mailing the Newsletter or Any Other Bulk Mailings

Prepared items need to be broken down into two groups. Items with zip codes starting with 064, 065 and 067 are considered local and will go into one tray. All other items will go into a separate tray.
Do not use any rubber bands on items. They are to be kept loose in the trays.
The completed trays are brought to the Guilford Post Office and presented at the counter. We do not have to call ahead.
A two page Postage Statement-Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail form must be filled out and accompany the mail trays. (See attached copy of the statement). Additional statements can be picked up at the Post Office or by downloading from the usps.com website.
Once the charge for the mailing is determined we can either bring a check the day before or the day of the mailing to the Post Office with the trays. We do not have to weigh the mail.
A status of our account is attached to this write up. Our permit number is PI 137. Our nonprofit Authorization number is 639777.
These numbers are needed for the Postage Statement. Currently as of 1/17/19 we have a balance in our account of $39.25. An annual bulk rate fee of $235 is paid up to 4/27/19. We will receive a notice 30 or so days before the next fee is due.
