This presentation, tasting, and hands-on workshop will explore what we can learn about people’s lives in the past by making and tasting the bread that they ate. We’ll sample and reflect on “breads” made by Native Americans, enslaved Africans, New England colonists, Jewish immigrants, and California hippies. The latter part of the workshop will allow participants to engage in the making of these breads and everyone will leave with recipes to try at home. The presentation will be held in the yellow Munger Barn.
Free, but registration is required. Donations appreciated.
